Maddie is a peppy dog villager in the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Dōbutsu no Mori, and after her appearance in Dōbutsu no Mori e+, she remained absent from the series until Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, where she returns as a DLC character. Her catchphrase, "yippee," may be derived from "yip," an onomatopoeia for a dog sound.
