Sprocket has a mechanical exterior, with a green head, dark blue-gray body, and softly orange-colored legs with darker orange stripes on them. His head appears to have lots of metal plating, covered with dots on the side that resemble screws. He has “half-lidded” blue eyes that also appear robotic, as they look like they have lights inside, and they even glow unaffected by the change in lighting at night time. His beak is a copper color and has a ridge running across the top, also suggesting metal plating. The ends of his arms and tail feathers are a lighter gray than the rest of his torso and tail, and are shiny. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, his head has an orange "04" printed on the back. His initial shirt is the No. 67 Shirt.
Nobody knows who built Sprocket. Whoever did it was probably near-sighted, though. And on top of that, whoever built him filled his robotic brain with delusions of grandeur.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, his body has a metallic texture, reflecting light, and occasionally makes mechanical sounds when moving. This is the same as the other mechanical villagers, Del and Ribbot.
