The '''8 A.M.''' morning tune is very energetic and awake in both versions of the game. It is like that because all the shops open up, and animals start to come out of their homes. Throughout the song is a piano making four notes repeatedly with a drum beat. A synthesizer plays a portion of the [[Main Theme]]. Comparing with the other hourly tunes, this one is one of the most upbeat.

The GCN version is considered upbeat in a different kind of way. A group of clarinets, a vibraphone, and what seems to be a type of oboe play the [[Main Theme]] in a cheery, summer morning day. Like in all other versions, this is the most upbeat tune.

In Wild World and City Folk, while upbeat, the 8 A.M theme is rather quiet in comparison to the other 2 games. It still fits as a morning song where shops are opening and villagers are waking up, but in a different way. It is also a less subtle remix of the main theme.

In New Leaf, the 8 A.M. theme is once again a very upbeat and lively tune and a prominent remix of the main theme of the game. It is meant to fit the tune of someone taking a brisk, fast, morning walk to start off their day.
