In the GameCube versions, the theme for 6 A.M. is everyday and catchy, meant to fit to the tune of a family coming together at 6:00 in the morning to have breakfast. For most of the song, it has piano music playing, with slight undertones of a hi-hat drum.
In Wild World and City Folk, the 6 A.M. theme is a Mexican-themed song with a salsa Wurlitzer that plays a traditional salsa melody. It has salsa funk drums, an accordion, and a wooden vibraphone that sounds in some areas. It gives you a plaza feel, as if you are strolling around a plaza or market area and just browsing through things. This hour is the official start of each Animal Crossing series day when letters are received in your mailbox, animal villagers move in or out, and when many villagers wake up. This song is very lively and bright as it is a true morning song.
In New Leaf, the 6 AM music is a happy sounding but still relaxed tune with prominent clarinet and nylon guitar, meant to fit the tune of someone just stepping outside and taking a slow, morning walk.
